What is MILL test report?

A mill test report (MTR) and often also called a certified mill test report, certified material test report, mill test certificate (MTC). One MTC must contain the following information:

• Mill's name,
• Heat number,
• Batch number,
• The final test result,
• Material dimension (diameter, wall thickness, length),
• Quantity,
• Material grade,

What is MILL test report?

MTC stands for the material test certificate. It is issued by a supplier or trader. After buying the material from Mill, the supplier draw this material as per customer requirement, such as size, hardness, etc.MTC also mentioned the Heat No. Because the material is drawn in different sizes at the supplier end. For traceability of material heat no. is mentioned in MTC, and many times from MILL material, 2 or 3 types of sizes drawn, so heat no is same in this 2 or 3 different size.

What is 3rd Party MTR?

This test is conducted by NABL certified lab in India. It confirms the material grade as per MTC and MILL TC, This test is conducted by a customer from 3rd party. Standard/specification, Chemical analysis composition results, Mechanical test properties results. If applicable, there also should be hydro test results, UT results, hardness test results, CVN impact results, metal graphic results, etc. MILL TC is issued from the mill from where metal is drawn.
